The Boston Home team has curated over 500 artworks, including works by artists from the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Europe. The Art Gallery houses more than 500 works of art from a variety of historical and contemporary eras in the region and around the world, including paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints, photographs, ceramics, glassware and more. Like Spring Bull, DeBlois Gallery is a cooperative with a long history, but it has been around for more than a decade and supports emerging artists. Although they are highly educational, JAC is able to provide them with large-scale exhibitions and installations in a variety of media such as printmaking, ceramics, photography, sculpture and film.
Vareika has also donated dozens of artworks to other nonprofits, including the Rhode Island Chapter of the National Endowment for the Humanities and the New York State Museum of Art. More than 280 artists have submitted works that have been deemed worthy of wall-standing, and four of them - from state jurors who are professional artists - have selected more than 1,500 artworks from the Rhode Island community. The winner of the Art in Narragansett Bay Art Award for the 2016-17 season will receive a prize of $25,000.

Tarducci, who is from Newport, has shown her work in major exhibitions at some of the country's leading galleries. Her work has been exhibited at Woman - made Gallery in New York City, Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, and Rhode Island Art Museum in Providence. In February 2005, Newport was declared an art district by the state of Rhode Island, and all the galleries are located in the neighborhood.
Newport was an important centre of the colonial revival movement, and Whitehall is an iconic site for architects and painters. The New York Sketch Book of Architecture, which featured a photograph of Whitehall as Newport's oldest house, was the iconic site of an architect and painter.
This oil on canvas painting was created by Gilbert Stuart as one of the earliest recorded artworks in Newport, Rhode Island, in the late 19th century.
Stuart is considered one of the first professional artists in Rhode Island and founder of the Newport Art Museum. He was probably the youngest person in Newport to open and run Kings Lens & Friends (pictured above) at 435 Thames Street in Newport in the early 19th century.
